The Homer Yetis claimed a close win over the Las Vegas Strip, due in large part to Robert Rice. The Homer right-hander pitched a great game to secure the 2-0 win. Roy Roberts closed it out for his 5th save. The win takes Homer to 8-13.

José Díaz came through with a big-time hit for Homer. The pinch hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 1-0. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Díaz told the Homer Observer. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
