The Houston Lone Stars received a sterling performance from starting pitcher Joel Bradley, allowing them to shoot down the Reno Silver Sox, 3-1. Rubén Rodríguez notched his 6th save of the season. Houston is now 15-9.

Bradley, who dominated for Houston, earned the victory to move to 3-2. He was in control the whole game, scattering 3 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 6. Reno batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
