The Sacramento Ironhorse topped the San Bernardino Stallions, 17-12, at Perris Hill Park. Sacramento left fielder Bob McBride was a spark plug for the offense. He went 4-6 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 4 runs and drove in 4. The Stallions fall to 9-14.

The game was all tied up in the top of the eighth, until McBride delivered big-time for Sacramento, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Nate Camacho. The game-changing hit put the Ironhorse on top, 11-10.

"If it's down the middle," said McBride, "you might as well hit it."
