Cowboys Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Eagles, 8-6

Fans brought energy and enthusiasm to the Dallas Eagles home opener. Cecil Rivera started for the home team against Rafael Infante for the Austin Cowboys. The Eagles were unable to reward the home crowd with a win. The final score was 8-6, Austin. Cecil Rivera, though, was impressive.
Yorba Linda, California-born Victor McCullough came through in the clutch. In the top of the ninth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Cowboys trailing 6-5, he hit a 2-run single to center to put Austin on top.
"I just tried to make good contact," said McCullough.
