Led by Kris Pierce, the Denver Grizzlies defeated the Minneapolis Millers, 4-2. Pierce went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Grizzlies. Raúl Ángel earned the win for Denver. He lasted 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 2. With the win, he raised his record to 4-1.
