Pete Howard, who is tied for 3rd in the PL with a 9.6 K/9 rate, was terrific for the Salt Lake City Locusts in his team's 4-1 triumph over the Homer Yetis. His performance earned Howard rave reviews. With the win, Salt Lake City elevates its record to 11-16.
Howard yielded no runs on 2 hits over 7.1 innings for the Locusts. For the season, Howard has a record of 2-1 with 37 strikeouts.
"Pete had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said Salt Lake City manager Nate McGinty.
