Beavers Take Down Yetis, 2-1
The Portland Beavers converted a terrific effort from starter Cliff Scott into a win over the Homer Yetis at Bombers Ballpark. The Beavers won the game by a final score of 2-1. Earning his 1st save of the year was Gary Morgan. The Yetis, 13-19, continue their sluggish start to the 2016 campaign.

David Barton came through with a big-time hit for Portland. The second baseman smacked a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"The old adage is true," said Barton. "Good pitching stops good hitting."
