Booth, Owls Too Much for Yetis
Tommy Booth, who is tied for 7th in the CL with a .621 slugging percentage, led San Jose to a triumph over Homer. The final score was 10-8. The first baseman went 4 for 5, falling a triple shy of the cycle. He scored 2 runs and added 4 RBI. Henry Murray earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 1.1 innings. His record is now 2-3. The win puts the Owls at 15-19, while the Yetis drop to 13-21.

With the game in the balance, help came for the Owls from the most obvious of places: Their star first baseman Booth, the slugging first baseman . With two out in the top of the ninth, Booth delivered a 3-run home run, making the score 10-7, San Jose. It was the 8th home run of the season for Booth.

"It's a good day to be a fan after a win like that," Booth told the San Jose Gazette.
