Oakland turned a good effort from starter Sean Bennett into a win over the Los Angeles Angels at Oakland Ball Park. The Acorns won the game, 2-0. The win was credited to Steve Joyce in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Jarred Nash took the loss. The win gives Oakland a record of 3-1.

The Acorns got a big at-bat from first baseman Ramón Salcido. For the game, Salcido was 1 for 3 with a double. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 1st double of the season gave Oakland a 1-0 lead.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Salcido told the Oakland Observer.
