Rainiers Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
The Seattle Rainiers defeated the Mexico City Aztecs, 7-3, in Pacific Coast League action at Estadio Tenochtitlan. Seattle pitcher Martín Sánchez had a standout performance. Seattle is now 24-12, 3 games up in the Pacific Coast League North.

Daniel Fernández had a big 2-run home run for the Rainiers in the top of the fourth inning. With Seattle leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from Brent House, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2001 draft, and punished it. The result was his 10th home run of the season, which put the Rainiers on top, 3-0.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Sánchez told the Seattle Observer.
