The San Jose Owls besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Mexico City right fielder Rob Wright by beating the Aztecs, 5-3, at Estadio Tenochtitlan. Wright was 4-4 with a double and 3 singles. Gabriel Mitchell recorded the save, his 2nd. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for San Jose.

San Jose used the timely hitting of Luis López to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Owls on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"I play this game for myself and my family, but of course it's always nice when we can win," said López.
