Baseball fans saw a good contest between the San Bernardino Stallions and Sacramento Ironhorse.

Starting pitcher Nate Johnson gave the San Bernardino Stallions a rock-solid effort. The OFallon, Missouri native helped his team defeat the Sacramento Ironhorse, 3-1, at Ironhorse Stadium. Chris Thompson closed the door for San Bernardino, picking up his 6th save of the year.

San Bernardino used the timely hitting of Carl García to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Stallions on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Tough loss," said Sacramento manager RR Zayx. "But we'll learn from it."

The 5th-place Stallions have a record of 18-20.
