The Austin Cowboys met little resistance from the New Orleans Pelicans, beating them, 11-3, at Higgins Park. Luis López led the way. He was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for Austin. With the win, the Cowboys improved to 19-20.

Early in the game, López had a 2-run home run for Austin. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Cowboys on top, 2-0.

"It's a good day to be a fan after a win like that," López told the Austin Bulletin.
