Angels Fall Short, 2-1, at Seattle

Seattle left-hander Charlie Jackson helped his team edge Los Angeles by the score of 2-1. Jackson kept the opposing lineup in check. Robinson Pérez earned the save for Seattle, his 7th. The Rainiers now own a record of 21-27.
Daniel Fernández had a big run-scoring double for the Rainiers in the bottom of the third inning. With Seattle leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a cutter from Jarred Nash, who leads the CL in quality starts with 9, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rainiers ahead, 2-0.
"We had the right guys up at the right times," said Los Angeles manager David K. "We just didn't cash in."
