With Ángel Barrón leading the charge, the Sacramento Ironhorse defeated the Seattle Rainiers, 8-4. Barrón went 2 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice for the Ironhorse. Sacramento pitcher Pedro Ortíz got the win. He's now 2-0. Kevin Banks was tagged with the loss. The victory makes Sacramento 3-2.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the ninth, with the game tied, Norberto Ramírez was at the plate when Sacramento scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Ironhorse to go in front, 5-4.

"We did more than enough to get the win," said Ramírez.
