Reno Scrapes Out 4-1 Win
Reno Silver Sox starter Luis Reyes hurled his team past the Houston Lone Stars, 4-1. Gabriel Ordóñez earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record is now 4-1. Leonard Burton closed the door for Reno, picking up his 13th save of the year.

Reno used a timely hit from James Winston to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Silver Sox ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"Coulda, shoulda, woulda," said Houston manager Eric Benson. "We had our chances and didn't cash in."

Reno goes to 29-27, Houston to 33-24.
