The Minneapolis Millers beat the Homer Yetis, 7-4. Minneapolis pitcher and Mason, Ohio, native Donald Richter led the way. The winner was Minneapolis reliever Dave Simpson, now 2-2. The loser was Orlando García. Dan Rochefort closed out the game, earning his 1st save.

Fred Aplin came through for Minneapolis when he hit a run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a two-strike sinker to left field, staking his team to a 5-4 lead.

In postgame comments, Aplin told the Minneapolis News: "Do people still doubt I give 100 percent?"

At 24-33, the Millers find themselves in last place in the Pioneer League North.
