Aztecs Earn 5-4 Win Versus Stars
|
Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Mexico City Aztecs and Hollywood Stars.
The Mexico City Aztecs knocked off the Hollywood Stars, 5-4, at Estadio Tenochtitlan. Jorge Villa was a big reason Mexico City won. The right fielder went 2 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win lifts Mexico City to a record of 3-4.
Mexico City took advantage of an error in the bottom of the eighth inning. The game was tied, 4-4, when Júlio Pérez hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Aztecs in front, 5-4.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Hollywood manager Scott B said, following the tough loss.
