Stars Win Wild Card Series
The Hollywood Stars and San Jose Owls put on a classic Wild Card Series that was in question until the final game.

In the end, Hollywood won the deciding contest by a score of 4-1, to take the series 4-3.

"It doesn't get much tighter than that. To win a series in the last game is a thrill," said Marcos Garza, who earned series MVP honors for Hollywood. "Our guys are breathing a little easier now."

For the series, Garza hit .370 with a .400 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 4 runs.

The Hollywood Stars will play against the Portland Beavers in the next round. Portland won their series against the Seattle Rainiers 4 games to 3. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Wild Card Series finishes.
