Game 5 was big. So was Miguel Valedón.

The Denver starter rose to the occasion at Hogg Field, leading the Grizzlies to a crucial 4-3 victory over the Houston Lone Stars. Valedón threw 7.1 innings of 6-hit ball as the Grizzlies won on the road to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 League Championship Series.

Yun-soo Nan had a direct impact on the outcome. Nan contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put Denver up, 4-0.

Valedón called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."

The next game is set to be played for Saturday, October 24th , 2015 at Jellystone Park in Denver.
