The Houston Lone Stars and the Denver Grizzlies will take the League Championship Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the Lone Stars beat the Grizzlies, 9-4, at Jellystone Park to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Houston shortstop Pepe Quiñones was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 3 and driving in 2.

Houston used the hitting of Corey Hauser to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Lone Stars on top, 2-0. For the game, Hauser had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We're one game closer to our goal," Houston manager Eric Benson said later. "It isn't any more complicated than that."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Jellystone Park in Denver.
