Grizzlies Prevail, as League Championship Series Goes to the Wire
The Denver Grizzlies are heading to the Series of the West, having narrowly defeated the Houston Lone Stars.

Denver edged Houston in the series 4-3, with a win at Jellystone Park in the clinching game by a 6-5 margin.

Carlos García turned in a strong offensive performance for the Grizzlies and got series MVP for his efforts.

"I'll never turn down another trophy for my mantle, another accomplishment to remember once my career is over," he said. "What I would really remember, though, is a Series of the West win."

It remains to be seen how the playoffs will conclude, but if García continues to swing a hot bat, his team will no doubt have a chance.

For the series, he hit .393 with a .469 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, 8 RBI and scored 6 runs.

The Denver Grizzlies will play against the Portland Beavers in the next round. Portland won their series against the Hollywood Stars 4 games to 3. The Series of the West schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
