Garza, Hollywood Open LCS Strong with 10-3 Win

The Hollywood Stars started the League Championship Series in style, downing the visiting Portland Beavers at Gilmore Field by a score of 10-3 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Stars right fielder Marcos Garza was 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 2.
In the bottom of the third, Hollywood third baseman José Guzmán had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out, Guzmán stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 1-0, Hollywood. For the game, he was 1 for 4 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"We did more than enough to get the win," said Guzmán.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Gilmore Field in Los Angeles.
