Stars Take 2-1 Lead with 4-2 Win
|
With starter Jesús Chávez leading the charge, the Hollywood Stars defeated the Portland Beavers, 4-2, in Game 3 of the League Championship Series. The left-hander threw 6.2 innings allowing 2 runs at Multnomah Stadium to help Hollywood take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.
Ramiro López, who finished 2nd in the CL in stolen bases with 35 in 2015, had a direct impact on the outcome. López contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth inning to put Hollywood up, 3-1.
"No one player deserves all the credit when you win," López said. "And the same is true when you lose."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Multnomah Stadium in Portland.
