Pelicans Lose By a Run at Phoenix
The Phoenix Fireballs faced a tough opponent in New Orleans pitcher Ronnie Gordon, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Pyro Center by a final score of 4-3. Gordon went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. Phoenix goes to 5-4.

Phoenix went up, 4-3, on Geoffrey Foster's 6th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Foster hit in the bottom of the seventh, left New Orleans pitcher Francisco Leal shaking his head.

"It's not about individual awards," Foster told a Phoenix Daily News reporter after the game. "It's about winning championships. That's what we play for."
