Phoenix-Sacramento Deal: Guzmán for Pérez

In a move that has fans in both cities buzzing, the Phoenix Fireballs and the Sacramento Ironhorse have agreed to a deal that will have 32-year old RHP José Beltrán and 28-year old 3B Juan Guzmán heading to Sacramento in exchange for 32-year old 3B Pablo Pérez, a 1st round draft pick, and a 3rd round draft pick. Provided they pass a physical, the players should be with their respective teams in time for tomorrow's games.
Guzmán boasts a career batting average of .292 with 551 hits, 90 homers and 291 RBIs.
Career-to-date Pérez has rung up a .271 average, played in 970 games and collected 228 doubles, 32 triples and 114 home runs.
