Strip Deal Sánchez to Owls for Ventura Monday, January 5th , 2015 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Strip announced today the acquisition of 21-year old minor league 3B Jesús Ventura from the San Jose Owls in exchange for 35-year old RHP Francisco Sánchez. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Strip, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." Thus far in his career, Sánchez has put up a won-loss record of 14-23. Lifetime he has an ERA of 3.32, struck out 390 batters and held opposing teams to a .239 batting average. |
