Cardoza Shuts Out Fireballs, 5-0 Wednesday, April 22nd , 2015 The Phoenix Fireballs had no answer for Homer Yetis pitcher Néstor Cardoza. They failed to score a single run against him, losing, 5-0. Phoenix managed only 6 hits off Cardoza, who had 6 strikeouts. The extraordinarily popular Cardoza got a standing ovation from the hometown crowd as he left the field, the applause continuing until he returned from the dugout to tip his cap to the crowd. "Yetis fans are the best fans, in my opinion," he said. "It's a great feeling to throw a shutout under any circumstances, but to do it with the crowd behind you like that is just incredible."
