Houston Ships Thompson to Hollywood Friday, December 18th , 2015 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Lone Stars announced today the acquisition of a 4th round draft pick from the Hollywood Stars in exchange for 24-year old C Jim Thompson. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Lone Stars, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." In his career, Thompson has played in 288 games with a .247 batting average. Among his 220 hits are 44 doubles, 2 triples, and 20 home runs. He has also scored 82 runs, walked 76 times, tallied no stolen bases, and driven in 86 runs. |
