Islanders End Miller Streak Wednesday, April 22nd , 2015 It was a doubly miserable day for Dwayne Miller of the Santa Barbara Foresters, as he saw his 21-game hitting streak end and his team lose, 2-0, to the Hilo Islanders at Rottweilers Ballpark. The 23-year-old left fielder was held hitless in 4 at-bats by the Islanders. "Anyone on a 21-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Hilo manager said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done." Currently Miller is batting .351 with 3 home runs, 11 RBIs and 11 runs scored. |
