San Francisco Seals starter Emory Burch pitched well against the Mexico City Aztecs at Estadio Tenochtitlan, leading his team to a win, 10-1. In 8.1 innings, Burch surrendered 9 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run. With the win, the Seals improved to 38-47.
San Francisco used a clutch at-bat from Mario Padilla to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Seals ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
