Portland pitcher Robbie McDaniel did his part in helping his team defeat the Sacramento Ironhorse, 5-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. The 4th-place Beavers have won 5 in a row.
Pedro Savino III, who is tied for 5th in the CL in stolen bases with 14, helped out the Portland cause in the top of the fifth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the center fielder was 1-3 with a walk and was hit by a pitch.
"If the personal accolades come, so be it," said Savino III. "I just want to win ballgames."
