Mexico City Tumbles Again, Falls, 7-4, to San Francisco
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the San Francisco Seals and Mexico City Aztecs.
The San Francisco Seals picked up a win at Ohlone Park, knocking off the Mexico City Aztecs, 7-4. Starting pitcher Luis Reyes played a key role in the triumph. Reyes, now 5-2, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 11, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs.
Cory Black cracked a home run off James Thomas in the bottom of the first. His 2-run blast put the Seals on top, 2-0. In all, Black had 2 singles in addition to the home run, while going 3 for 4.
"Winning is always a team effort," Black said after the game.
This loss makes it 7 in a row for Mexico City.
