Aztecs left fielder Rafael Costa put his stamp on his team's 6-4 win over the Phoenix Fireballs. Costa belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for Mexico City in the contest. Alfredo García notched his 17th save of the season. The triumph puts Mexico City at 29-29 for the season.

Jorge Villa, who led the CL in triples with 13 last year, helped out the Mexico City cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the pinch hitter was 1-1.

"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Aztecs manager Jaime Martinez.
