The Reno Silver Sox converted a terrific effort from starter Luis Reyes into a win over the San Francisco Seals at Ohlone Park. The Silver Sox won the game by a final score of 5-2. Arturo Avilés notched his 2nd save in 2 chances. After today's action, Reno sits at 33-28, while San Francisco falls to 29-31.

Reno used a well-timed hit by Arturo Álvarez to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Silver Sox ahead, 5-1. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"Luis throwing strikes, pounding the zone, that is exactly what you want to see," said Reno manager Zach Ames.
