Boosted by the 2-hit performance of Ramiro López, who is tied for 4th in the CL in stolen bases with 16, the Hollywood Stars defeated the San Bernardino Stallions, 7-0. Cris Machado went 7.2 innings for Hollywood to pick up the win. The left-hander was charged with no runs. He scattered 3 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 7. His record improves to 8-1. The Stars improved to 46-23.

Hollywood used a clutch at-bat from Sean Womersley to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Stars ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"The guys come to the ballpark ready," said Stars manager Scott B. "They're going out there and doing the simple things right."
