Super Swinger -- Rice Slams 5 Hits Friday, May 20th , 2016 Eric Rice had an answer for everything the Kansas City Jacks threw at him at Arthur Bryant Ballpark. The Phoenix catcher went 5-for-6 in the game to put his name in the record book and give the Fireballs a win, 11-4. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Rice said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." Eric Rice singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. Rice is hitting .391 this year with no home runs, 12 RBIs and 19 runs scored. He has 52 hits in 133 at-bats, 12 walks and a .443 on-base percentage. Rice has played in 35 games.
