The timely hitting of Ed Lott helped the Portland Beavers down the Mexico City Aztecs, 10-4. Lott went 2-5 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 5 for the Beavers. With the win, Portland elevates its record to 4-5.

With Portland leading 6-3 in the bottom of the sixth, Lott hit a fastball from Roberto Díaz for a grand slam home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Beavers ahead, 10-3.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Lott told the Portland Daily News. "It's as simple as that."
